Remembrance Day 2022

PASSAGE OF TIME

Silent now are guns of old
History written; stories told
By young men, their years now aged to gold.

Young children now are being taught
Of battles for their freedom fought
And the terror that the conflicts wrought.

Fields littered, all soldiers dead
A bloody ground is coloured red,
A passion for peace, now being fed.

Memories of those lost, we share
So bow your head, and a Poppy wear,
A simple act, to show you care.

Canadian flag

Dedicated to all who served, and their families.

Jacqueline Black - 2022
Wife of Sgt W.P. Black (deceased)
